Lamborghini Has New Record Year With 3,245 Deliveries In 2015

Things are going great for Lamborghini as far as sales are concerned

The Italian supercar brand has delivered 3,245 units in 2015, 2.5 times the sales of 2010.

2015 was a new record year for the brand and marked the first time Lamborghini exceeded the 3,000 units mark in yearly sales. Worldwide deliveries to customers increased from 2,530 to 3,245 units in 2015, accounting for a sales growth of 28 percent compared to 2014. The milestone was due to the Huracan's hugely successful market reception and continued high demand for the Aventador.

The ten-cylinder Huracan LP 610-4 model contributed to making 2015 the most successful year in the company's history for V10 sales. In its first year of full availability, Huracan deliveries totaled 2,242 units. Furthermore, sales figures of the Huracan in the first 18 months after market introduction were up 70 percent compared to its predecessor, the Gallardo, in the same period after market launch.

Deliveries for the twelve-cylinder Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 totaled 1,003 units, including coupé and roadster units, as well as the LP 750-4 Superveloce. Aventador sales figures for the first 52 months after market introduction were up by 124 percent compared to its predecessor, the Murcielago, in the same period after market launch.

The company saw growth in all main regions with new sales records reached in America and Asia Pacific. The brand's biggest markets are the U.S. and Greater China, followed by Japan, UK, the Middle East and Germany. The automaker currently has 135 dealers worldwide serving 50 countries.

Lamborghini introduced several new models in 2015, including the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition, the Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder and the Huracan LP 580-2 rear-wheel drive model. Both Huracan versions are available in markets worldwide from spring 2016.

The sports car manufacturer looks set to continue growth, with a third model scheduled to arrive in 2018 – the Urus "Super Sports Utility Vehicle".
