Lamborghini Pays Tribute to Miura with Limited Edition Aventador

The special edition model celebrates the Miura’s 50th anniversary

Called the Aventador Miura Homage, the limited edition model will be built in just 50 examples, the majority of which have already been sold.

Created by Lamborghini's Ad Personam studio, the customized Aventador sports the colors and specifications of original Miura models. The color of the upper body is in contrast to the hue of the lower body, sills, and wheels. The choice of colors for the Aventador Miura Homage includes six of the most iconic colors used on the original Miura. Buyers can choose from Rosso Arancio Miura (solid color), Verde Scandal (solid), and Blu Tahiti (metallic).

The Aventador also pays homage to the Miura continues with the Dione rims (20-inch/21-inch) in either matt silver or gold, the metallic Miura badge on the side, the black Lamborghini logo on the rear, as well as the limited edition plate placed inside the car.

Speaking of the interior, Lamborghini offers two internal color options: full Nero Ade or Terra Emilia. Both include leather with tone-on-tone stitching and carbon fiber package as standard. Other unique touches include the Miura 50th logo stitched into the upper part of the seats in gold or silver and the "Lamborghini" lettering embroidered on the leather dashboard.

Bar the cosmetic changes the Aventador Miura Homage is identical with the standard model. Power comes from the same 6.5-liter V12 that delivers 700 PS (690 hp) at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm. Performance figures are unchanged as well, with the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint taking just 2.9 seconds and the top speed remaining 350 km/h (217 mph).

The Aventador Miura Homage debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 23-26) and will go on display at other events during 2016.
