Mercedes-AMG A 45 Matic Gets F1-Flavored 2015 World Champion Edition

Mercedes-AMG offers fans and customers a special gift to mark its Formula One team’s successful 2015 season

It’s a car with a rather long name (Mercedes-AMG A 45 4Matic Mercedes AMG Petronas 2015 World Champion Edition) which combines the Formula 1 look of the winning Silver Arrows with a wide range of standard equipment.

The car sports a striking foiling with petrol green and black highlights which mimics the livery of the F1 W06 Hybrid Formula 1 car. It also features a different aerodynamic kit with a larger splitter and special flicks at the front, plus a roof spoiler at the rear, all inspired by Mercedes’ Formula 1 cars. The striking exterior package is rounded out by large 19-inch cross-spoke wheels painted in titanium grey and accented with a petrol green rim flange.

The special edition A 45 4Matic is offered with three body colors: mountain grey metallic, design mountain grey magno and polar silver metallic.

The interior echoes the changes on the outside, with the electronically adjustable sports seats in leather/Dinamica microfiber featuring a striped design in petrol green and white. Petrol green topstitching on the armrests, dashboard and Performance steering wheel, as well as petrol green rings in the air vents and petrol green highlight strips on the seat belts contribute to the special ambiance inside.

Each car also gets a badge on the lid of the stowage compartment with the official lettering of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

As for equipment, the special edition model comes with the Night Package, AMG Exclusive package and the AMG Dynamic Plus package, as well as AMG Performance seats. No mechanical changes were made, which means the car is powered by the same 381 PS (376 hp) 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds.

The A 45 4Matic 2015 World Champion Edition was unveiled at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26, 2015 and will be sold from January 2016 through May 2016, with a €65,402.40 starting price in Germany (including 19 percent VAT).
