MSO-tweaked McLaren 570S Spider may be the coolest Valentine's Day gift ever
It's a one-of-a-kind car commissioned by an "incurable romantic" for his or her significant other
What did you get for Valentine's Day? Surely not a highly-personalized supercar as a lucky person from the UK got. We're talking about a McLaren 570S Spider commissioned to MSO by an unnamed customer as a gift for his or her significant other. How cool is that?
The bespoke creation combines a vibrant Vermillion red paint with a red and black leather interior, spiced up by several MSO Defined accessories. Besides the paintwork, other exterior details unique to this car include red brake calipers, personalized "Color Edition" Pirelli P Zero tires, as well as carbon fiber body enhancements such as door inserts, front splitter, rear deck, rear bumper, and rear spoiler.
The retractable hardtop is in optional Dark Palladium grey instead of the body color, adding to the car's exclusive appearance. Furthermore, the tonneau cover is in carbon fiber, another feature from the MSO Defined range.
Inside, the McLaren 570S Spider offers a tasteful combination of Apex Red and Jet Black Nappa Leathers and Carbon Black Alcantara, complemented by carbon fiber components on the doors and center tunnel. Brand aficionados will also recognize the MSO Defined Extended Sill Finishers (also in carbon fiber). Upgrades are rounded off by the Indian Red seat belts and the steering wheel with Apex Red leather trim.
The mechanical package stays stock, meaning the 570S Spider features a mid-mounted 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 570 metric horsepower, pushing the drop-top supercar from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in just 9.6 seconds. Top speed is 328 km/h (204 mph) with the roof closed or 315 km/h (196 km/h) with the top down.
