Must-have: ’92 Acura NSX with just 9,500 miles on the odometer

A one-time shot at securing a piece of automotive history

Honda’s new NSX hasn’t been making the expected waves so purists and die-hard fans might be tempted to look elsewhere. The thing is, a near mint condition NSX is gruesome to find, but once in a while, Lady Luck is known to shine a smile on a buyer’s chances.

Enter the 1992 Acura NSX going under the hammer on Bring a Trailer. The auction page says it comes with “service history dating back to new” and by the looks of it, all three owners looked after it quite responsibly.

The car had its timing belt and water pump replaced in 2013, and last year it went through a full tune-up. You also get a factory transmission case as backup together with replacement snap rings.

Without considering the aftermarket stereo and speakers, this NSX is factory stock. However, the paint work does show a few flaws here and there, but at the same time, the interior and the underside appear to be in tip-top condition.

With six days left until the bidding closes, three potential buyers have made an offer. The current one (at the time of writing) rises to $30,000, but nothing’s set in stone.
