Next Ford Focus sedan spied under heavy camo

It looks like a shrunken down Fusion… probably

Ford is set to launch an all-new Focus within the next two years, so pre-production examples are already being tested, albeit under heavy camouflage. One example was snapped undergoing testing on mountain roads in the Alps, but you can’t really make out what it’s going to look like.

The exterior is almost completely covered, but what they do leave exposed suggests its design will be an evolution of the current model – it also looks like it’s going to retain the Aston Martin-esque grille too. Oh, and the interior is a more grown up version of what Ford has done with the all-new Fiesta.

Our spies also informed us that this new Focus sedan is noticeably longer than the current one, featuring a longer wheelbase too.

The other big news with the next Focus is that production will be split between Germany and China. Europe will still get the Focus assembled at the Saarlouis plant, while North American customers will be getting it from the People’s Republic, instead of Michigan.
