Next-Gen Ford Fiesta Coming Next Week in Germany

Was about time, really

Ford's current Fiesta supermini has been around for ten years now, and although it proved a popular choice refreshed by a mid-life facelift, it's high time we met the next-gen model.

However, a statement released by FoMoCo and picked up by Automotive News claims that the Blue Oval will introduce the Fiesta subcompact in Germany, during an event scheduled to take place on the 29th of November, in Cologne.

“The new Fiesta will be our best expression of Ford – lovable fun, sporty to drive and with an unmatched personality true to the spirit of the iconic small car that has delighted generations of customers for the past 40 years.”

Jim Farley, Ford of Europe Executive VP and President

Moreover, Ford announced that the event will also serve as an announcement platform for the company's Smart Mobility strategy and fuel-saving ambitions.

Elsewhere, our spy photographers have spotted the upcoming Ford Fiesta wearing heavy camo covers, and our in-house artist came up with the rendering you can see above.

Furthermore, there have been reports of a Fiesta Vignale that might at some point join the likes of Mondeo, Kuga, and Edge under the Vignale umbrella but right now, they seem a bit far-fetched.
