Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior can plow through sand like it’s nothing

Tracks are cool. Everybody loves tracks

In a time not so long ago, tracks were only reserved for the most extreme vehicles that had to face nature's worst moods or landscaping nightmares. Today, they're a lot more common on regular cars, even if those are wrapped as concepts.

One such creation that comes into focus is the Arctic Frog Jeep JK. However, the SUV got new gear for snow-plowing purposes, while the Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior uses its tracks to rough-up Nissan's stand at the New York Auto Show.

Heavily involved in promoting the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story movie, Nissan's crossover previously received a role in a commercial as well as Star Wars-style side cannons.

This time, however, the mod list is a tad longer. And while the outside camouflage paint job speaks for itself, it's the set of tracks we'd like to focus on.

At 48 inches long, 30 inches high and 15 inches wide, the Dominator Tracks are provided by American Track Truck. Suspension and wheel well adjustments were needed to get them where you'd normally expect a wheel, but otherwise, they seem to work just fine with the Rogue's 170-horsepower 2.5-liter gasoline engine and Xtronic transmission.

Here's a video demo of the modded Rogue testing in the sand:
