It looks like something from the year 2030… although that’s not that far in the future, is it?
Mercedes has finally shown us its Urban eTruck sans camo in all its silver glory. The truck features restrained styling whose main features are the oversized badge and gaping mouth (the grille).
Taking a closer look at the headlights, they too feature a cool wrap-around design as their LED DRLs follow the corner of the cab and flow into the final step (used to ascend into the driver’s seat).
The interior is definitely much more conventional looking than the outside, but it is livened up by a 12.3-inch display on the center stack and a fully digital gauge cluster.
Urban eTruck is powered by a pair of electric motors that together make 340 hp and 1,000 Nm / 737 lb-ft of torque. Standard battery capacity is 212 kWh, good for some 200 kg / 125 miles range, but it can be expanded with the addition of extra battery packs; the standard layout uses three packs to achieve the aforementioned capacity.
