Porsche 911 GT3 RS effortlessly hits 300 km/h on the Autobahn at night

If we were trying to describe the whole experience in one word, that’d be scary

The new 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a revered machine regardless of who you ask. It is also freakishly fast as most of you can remember from a couple of weeks ago, when it lapped the Nürburgring in 6:56.4.

Remember, it does not depend on all-wheel drive or a pair of turbochargers to give in that go-faster flavor. And, if you go around asking Porsche about its top speed, they’ll say it can reach 310 km/h or 193 mph, yet Carfection’s Henry Catchpole only managed to take it to 300 km/h or 186 mph.

Which is by no means a small feat since his run took place at night, on a vehicle-clad but speed limit-free section Autobahn section in Germany. And as you’ll see in the video below, the car could have kept going but traffic had other things in mind.
