The new Porsche 911 (992) can do both track days and running errands in the city. In respect to the former, Porsche fitted the new Neunelfer with complex adaptive aerodynamics.
Essentially, the new Porsche 911 uses air flow to keep cooling performance to a maximum but also provide the lowest possible driving resistance.
For example, the front shutters close completely at speeds higher than 70 km/h to reduce aerodynamic drag. In addition, the rear spoiler lifts into the Eco position at speeds of over 90 km/h with the same purpose.
Naturally, the new 911 also reacts when the driver is looking to squeeze every drop of performance, with the adaptive aero setup acting in a different manner.
