Porsche Taycan US buyers to get three-year free charging plan, kind of

That’s coast-to-coast, fast-charger coverage through public, home and dealer charging stations

Porsche Cars North America has announced that through an agreement with Electrify America, it can provide Porsche Taycan owners with three years of free charging at public stations across the US.

The charging benefit will, however, be included in the price tag of the new Porsche Taycan EV.

In addition, Porsche dealers will be fitted with fast-charge kiosks and the German carmaker will also take steps to provide home charging technology and solutions.

Here’s a mode detailed explanation:

“Taycan buyers will receive three years of unlimited 30-minute charging at Electrify America location, comprised of more than 300 highway stations in 42 states as well as more than 180 sites in 17 metro areas. Each location will have an average of five charging dispensers, with some having as many as ten.”

Each Electrify America station will offer at least two 350-kW chargers per site, complemented by additional 150-kW chargers.
