Rad street-legal Ford GT does 292.9 mph (470 km/h) like it’s nothing

ford gt speed record

But won’t stop here

Since mankind won’t quit pushing for land speed records anytime soon, call us interested in anything that serves that purpose. Like this heavy-tuned but road-legal Ford GT, for example.

Dubbed BADD GT, it’s owned and driven by Johnny Bohmer, who is a man with a great goal: he set his own challenge called “The Quest for 300 MPH” which, as the name implies, will see him attempting to break the 300 mph (483 km/h) barrier and even press on for 315 mph (507 km/h).

In the video below, you’ll see the Ford GT reaching 292.9 mph (Europe, that’s roughly 470 km/h). And since we touched on performance, you might also want to know that the BADD GT goes from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.5 seconds and clears the quarter mile in 9.20 seconds.

What’s more, autoevolution reports that this Ford GT packs 2,700 hp. So on that bombshell, it’s best you witness its high-speed addiction for yourself via the video below.
