Comes well equipped, powered by Hemi V8
Ram has revealed the 2019 1500 Sport, an upscale version of its new pickup specifically designed for and only available in Canada.
It gets unique features like a “monochromatic exterior with all-black badging, plus unique all-black interior, seats and accents,” according to the manufacturer.
Available for order from the second quarter of 2018, the 1500 Sport variant can only be had with Hemi V8 power. Its 5.7-liter engine puts out 395 hp and 410 lb-ft torque and aside from the now commonplace variable valve timing, it also has cylinder deactivation tech.
The transmission is an eight-speed automatic which the automaker says “includes more than 40 individual shift maps to optimize fuel economy, performance and drivability.”
Being a version designed for chilly Canada, it get power-operated and heated seats and a heated steering wheel, as well as other comfort features such as electrically-adjustable pedals.
Pricing of fuel efficiency numbers have yet to be announced, but they will be closer to the vehicle’s showroom debut.
