Range-Topping 3008 GT Adds Sporty Flair to Peugeot’s New SUV

The 3008 GT combines aggressive looks with the most powerful diesel engine available in the range

Not long after revealing the first photos of the all-new 3008 SUV, Peugeot has released details about the range-topping 3008 GT model.

Described as the 3008's most dynamic and exclusive version, the GT distinguishes itself from lesser versions thanks to a more sporty look, the optional "Coupe Franche" paint scheme, and the 2.0-liter BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT6 powertrain.

Peugeot says the 3008 GT signals the brand's move up-range, along with the 3008 GT Line trim that offers a similar appearance on more affordable engine versions.

The 3008 GT looks more aggressive thanks to the flared fenders, double exhausts, 19-inch two-tone Boston alloy wheels shod with 235/50 R19 tires, full LED light units, two-tone roof, as well as other specific exterior elements. There's also an exclusive bodywork color – the optional "Coupe Franche" dual-color paint design.

Inside, the 3008 GT gets some distinct touches such as copper topstitching on the dashboard trim, door trim panels, and central armrests, as well as tri-material TEP/ Alcantara trim on the seats (Nappa Mistral leather is optional). A GT logo in chromed steel on the steering wheel plus genuine aged-oak trim on the dashboard and door panels round out the interior upgrades.

Peugeot didn't release detailed information about the engine other than it delivers 180 PS (178 hp) and is mated to an automatic six-speed transmission.

The Peugeot 3008 GT and 3008 GT Line will arrive in European dealerships from October 2016.
