Saudi Arabia’s Nissan Patrols make for the best sleepers

Would you expect a Patrol to have 3,000 hp? Exactly

The Nissan Patrol is a widely-appreciated model, but none of its attributes have anything to do with speed or acceleration. Until the guys from Ben Dalmouk Auto Technology changed that.

While Saudi Arabia hosts an impressive array of supercars (including a lot of one-offs), there was always an odd attraction for super-powerful SUVs there.

One explanation is the topographical context. The Middle East has a lot of sand, which makes for a vast playground, as long as you have the proper toys. And by that, we don’t mean show-off supercars, but humble-looking work-horses with hundreds thousands of horsepower.

From there, some in breeding cases might occur. Like, for example, a 3-door Nissan Patrol sitting on a GT-R 35 chassis, having a stroked out 4.1-liter engine and big enough turbochargers to produce 1,900 hp. This is the car that put the Hammond-piloted Porsche 918 Spyder to shame in an episode of Grand Tour. It’s signed by Ben Dalmouk Auto Technology, a studio renowned for this kind of extreme transformations.

As its owner said in the video you’ll see below, it once was the perfect sleeper. Now everyone knows it. Well, it’s hard to be indifferent when it comes to pieces of machinery like this one, isn’t it?

A 1,900-hp Patrol-looking GT-R would be more than enough for most of us. BUT what about a 2012 3,000-hp quad-turbo Patrol? The new ultimate sleeper is in the making, and we’re utterly afraid to even ask about its performance figures.
