Wait until you read about the material choice

Skoda promises the Vision RS will make its world debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. When it finally comes out from under the wraps, it will feature materials unheard of before for a Skoda.

Coming straight from Skoda’s design studio in Prague, the Vision RS is set to feature, for starters, a hefty load of carbon fiber.

For instance, we’re told that the central console is crafted entirely out of carbon fiber, a material that’ll also be used for the sport seats and the loops coming to replace the traditional door handles. Carbon fiber is also present on the door panels, with Skoda saying it opted for this in order to “link to the world of motor racing.”

Instead of the run-of-the-mill piano black, the Vision RS will get Lasvit hand-cut crystal as interior decor.

Coming back to the carbon fiber, Skoda mentions it’s made out of 100% recycled polyester as the carmaker is “highly considerate” towards the environment. Such efforts are also illustrated by the Alcantara covering the seats, the Czechs say.

We’ll come back on the topic with fresh info as soon as the Vision RS makes its presence felt on the stage at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.
