Smart Bringing Two Special Edition Models to Geneva

Fortwo Cabrio Brabus Edition #2 meets Forfour Crosstown Edition

The Daimler-owned maker of city cars will showcase two special edition models at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The first one is the Fortwo Cabrio Brabus Edition #2, which combines styling tweaks from the Bottrop-based tuner with equipment upgrades. Available in a limited run of 100 units, the special open-top Smart Brabus two-seater features a Cool Silver exterior paintwork, matt anthracite 16-inch Brabus Monoblock VIII alloy wheels, and a contrasting tritop fabric soft top in red.

Inside, the special edition Fortwo Cabrio sports a tailor-made leather interior with ruby red seats with honeycomb quilting in red, as well as ruby red dashboard, door center panels, and multifunction sports steering wheel. Brabus velour floor mats are also part of the package.

Sadly, the Brabus name isn’t honored by a power upgrade, with the Fortwo Cabrio Edition #2 featuring a 89 hp (90 PS) three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, mated with the Twinamic 6‑speed dual-clutch transmission.

Standard equipment includes four packages offering an array of features such as LED taillights, fog lights and DRLs, Smart Media System with a 7-inch touchscreen and navigation, automatic climate control, heated seats, and more. The Smart Fortwo Cabrio Brabus Edition #2 will be available to order from March 7, with prices starting at €26,750 in Germany.

The second special edition model is based on the five-door Smart and brings both styling and equipment upgrades. On the outside, the Smart Forfour Crosstown Edition features special detachable parts in underride guard-look, including the side skirts, for a crossover look.

It will be available in a variety of body colors, but the show car in Geneva will feature a graphite grey exterior with a black tridion safety cell. The model also gets 16-inch black alloys and a sports suspension that lowers ride height by 10 mm.

Standard features are grouped into four packages and include a three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel in leather, sports pedals in brushed stainless steel, automatic climate control, LED taillights, fog lights and DRLs, and more.

Customers will be able to place orders from mid-July, with the first vehicles to reach dealers in autumn.
