So, You Wanna Buy Some Horsepower for Your Audi R8?

The fellas from Underground Racing have some offers for you. Are you ready?

It’s hard to imagine someone complaining that his/hers Audi R8 isn’t fast enough. In its most powerful guise (that would be the V10 Plus), it develops 601 hp and 413 lb-ft (610 PS and 560 Nm, for Europe), enough for 0-to-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).

So, if a 610 hp R8 can do that, imagine what a 2,200 hp R8 can do. Seriously, just imagine for now, because we don’t have performance figures after the upgrades. Yet. But we have all the faith in the Underground Racing work, as they proved for so many times they can make fast cars even faster. Their YouTube channel is the best proof.

What you can know for now is how much it would cost you to pump all that cavalcade of thrust in your V10 German supercar. For the start, there’s the Base Twin Turbo System ($49,000), with 800 whp. After that comes the Stage 1 kit ($59,000), with 900 whp on race fuel. For $69,000 you get a Stage 2 kit on your R8 (delivering up to 1,000 whp on race fuel); Stage 3 ($99,000) grants you 1,250 whp on race fuel (and 1,000 whp on pump gas).

And if you want to go big, you opt for the Race Version TT or the X Version TT, two kits that require heavy modifications and deliver 1,500 whp, respectively 2,200 whp on race fuel.

Now let’s drool over some owners’ cars in action, like this X Version Huracan for example.
