Can the Model X outgun these two ICE-powered monsters?
Just likes the S, Tesla’s Model X has been leaving a lot of its drag race rivals eating the dust. But this time, it will face the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and Mercedes-AMG’s GLC 63 S.
Obviously, the name to fear in this bout orchestrated by carwow is Jeep’s beastly, 707-hp Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, touted as the world’s quickest SUV thanks to a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 borrowed from the Hellcats.
Now, Jeep says the Trackhawk can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in 3.5 seconds, but the Tesla Model X P100D with Ludicrous Speed can clear the same interval in just 2.8 seconds.
Of course, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 is not to be ignored. Just like the Trackhawk, it relies on a V8 engine (smaller though, at 4 liters worth of displacement) churning out 503 hp sent to all four wheels.
That being said, let’s see which monster SUV will emerge victorious, shall we?
