There’s nothing boring (or fake) about Elon Musk’s $500 flamethrower

flamethrower

Which you can already pre-order and it promises to “liven up any party”

Elon Musk has dabbled in more areas of business than you can shake a liquid-fueled rocket at – he started by providing content for websites, then moved to financial services, then SpaceX, then Tesla and now most recently his Boring Company (a company literally created to bore tunnels for underground travel…).

But it turns out his latest company isn’t just about tunneling, but also flamethrowers – kind of. Yes, you heard that right, and the funniest thing about it all is that there is literally no joke here – the Boring Co. now sells you a fully functioning thrower of flames which it even boasts is the safest such… party livening tool in the world.

Currently selling at $500 a pop (you can already pre-order one), you’re probably asking yourself whether or not it is legal – and the short answer is that it’s not technically a flamethrower since it merely ignites propane gas, as opposed to using liquid fuel which is what gives such weapons their… throwing capability.

What Elon Musk is selling is more akin to a big lighter, perfect for reheating leftover pizza, melting the snow in your driveway, burning unwanted weeds in your garden or as the official prom text implies it’s also “great for roasting nuts” and is “guaranteed to liven up any party.”

So next up we expect Musk to create a zombie horde for people to try out their giant lighters, but it seems this has already been dispelled as he recently tweeted “the rumor… is completely false," adding that “you’d need millions of zombies for a so-called “apocalypse” anyway. Where would I even get a factory big enough to make so many!?"
