Where the filming rig is way more expensive than the car
What you see here is not a Photoshop but a real camera strapped on a very real Lamborghini Huracán. Thing is, the star here isn’t the Italian purebred but the camera.
And this is a hard thing to say, considering that the Huracán is nothing short of a supercar: V10 mid-mounted packing 610 Euro horsies, 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque is enough to launch the vehicle to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. The price tag is also supercar-level: $200,000.
That’s about a third of the gyro-stabilized camera rig’s price: $600,000. The gimbal comes from Gyro Stabilized Systems and the camera is a Red Epic 8K body — you know, in case you want to replicate that on your car.
