This Porsche 930 eulogizing makes you want one 911 Turbo so bad

“The Widow maker” is one of the fiercest Porsches ever made. After watching this video, you just might desperately want one in your life.

This is one of the fiercest Porsches ever made — it wasn’t nicknamed “the widow maker” for nothing, right? After watching this video, you just might desperately want one in your life.

Between 1975 and 1989 about 21,000 units were made — the 930 debuted with the 3.0-liter flat-six, followed by the 3.3-liter unit.

It's enough to get a look at Turbo's set up to understand how badass it was. A rear engine delivering from 260 to 330 hp to the rear axle, a 2.2 meters wheelbase and the unpleasant turbo-lag surprise turned the 930 into a potential killer (if it were to land in inexperienced hands).

As a matter of fact, there have been lawsuits against Porsche for making such a ferocious sports car, convincing the German automaker to create special driver training programs for their clients.

Four decades later, those who survived are cherished by their owners, and thanks to Petrolicious, we can hear and see their stories.

Now lean back and speakers up.
