The 2017 Yaris WRC will inspire a sportier Yaris
Just a couple of days after trumpeting a minor polish for the 2017 Yaris, Toyota announces a performance-oriented version of the supermini.
In Elon Musk fashion, Toyota took to Twitter to announce the hotter street-legal Yaris, which will benefit from the brand's expertise gained during the development of the 2017 Yaris WRC.
"Not only will the WRC scene provide learnings to further improve Toyota’s road car technology, it will also inspire an expansion of the Yaris line-up with a performance oriented version."
The decision falls in line with previous reports talking about a WRC flair infusion that would morph the regular Yaris into a hot hatch.
