Two Thrill-Seeking Audis come to the Land of Dracula

An R8 and an RS7 are coming to Transylvania, Romania, for some Halloween-themed activities and a wonderful photo album

If you’ve heard of Romania, it most probably happened in one of these two contexts: you were talking about Vlad “The Impaler” Dracula, or about the “best road in the world.” Or, you know, gypsies.

Anyhow, Romania is a wonderful place to visit, as long as you’re not in a hurry – we don’t have many highways, you know? – and the Transylvanian realm is indeed beautiful (during the day) and also spooky (at night).

Anyway, this foto session’s stars are, of course, the two 600+ hp Audis, the V10-powered R8, and the 4.0-liter V8 RS7. Two loud Quattros trying to get past Dracula's castle subtly? Yeah, right.

But, BUT! There’s one single mention to be made here: Dracula’s Land, although promoted as being “hair-rising,” is not the most frightening place to be in after the sun sets. If you’re looking for bloodcurdling experiences, go to the Baciu Forest, described as being the most haunted forest in the world.

Anyway, check out the photo gallery above while I gather all the videos and photos featuring the Transfăgărășan Highway, described by Clarkson as being “the best road in the world.”
