UK-bound Skoda Karoq, Kodiaq bag new 187 hp TSI engine

Karoq-SportLine

All-wheel drive is standard for both models

UK customers can now have their new Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq with a new 2-liter petrol powerplant.

The TSI unit makes 190 PS (187 hp) and 320 Nm of twist between 1,400 and 4,100 rpm. A seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox sends these resources to all four wheels.

These specs translate into a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 7 seconds for the Karoq and 7.7 seconds for the Kodiaq.

Also worth noting is that Karoq customers can specify this engine in the new SportLine trim, while those in the market for a Kodiaq can choose this engine on SE L, Scout, SportLine, Edition and L&K grades.

On the price side, Skoda says that “prices for Kodiaq models equipped with the new engine range at £34,120 OTR for the seven-seat SE L model up to £38,770 OTR for the seven-seat L&K variant.”

The Karoq SportLine is priced at £31,820.
