Wraps come off at the Geneva motor show

Italdesign has released renderings showing its future Zerouno Roadster model based around the underpinnings of an Audi R8.

No actual shots of the car have been shown, though, but even from these renderings we can see it’s going to look radically different compared to its donor car. Italdesign has already shown the Zerouno hardtop coupe (check it out in our video posted below), so if you want to get a better idea of what the drop top is like, you can check it out.

The coupe sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and retains the Audi’s all-wheel drive system and seven-speed gearbox.

Production numbers will be kept very low (they only made 50 hardtops) and the roadster will also get a price hike from the original $1.6-million.

The roadster will debut early next month at the Geneva motor show where we’ll be present to bring you live photos and coverage of all the major unveilings.
