The fourth-generation Focus is shaping up to be quite a looker in ST-Line trim

Last week's 2019 Ford Focus spy photos provided a solid base for our rendering artist to try and figure out the uncensored design of the production model.

As you can see, the digital effort to scrub out all the nasty camouflage from the next-generation Ford Focus paid off: the result is quite attractive. What stands out compared to the spy shots are the headlights, which have a more aggressive look than those from the current-generation Focus. They also get a new DRL signature which looks quite similar to "Thor's hammer" headlights from Volvo models.

Unlike the spied Focus prototype, which appeared to be a Titanium trim, the car rendered by our artist is a sporty ST-Line model. That can be recognized thanks to the gloss black grille that has a more aggresive shape inspired by the ST performance version. Gloss black trim can also be found on the sleek front bumper, uniting the fog lights with the lower grille. The creases on the sides of the bodywork seen on the spied prototype are present too, giving the Focus a more purposeful stance.

The 2019 Ford Focus should offer more space inside thanks to slightly increased dimensions, resulting in increased legroom for rear passengers. There's no indication of the cabin's design, but interior quality is expected to improve, allowing Ford's C-segment car to compete with the VW Golf.

As for engines, the lineup will include a 1.5-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engine, offered with manual and dual-clutch transmission options. The new 1.5-liter turbodiesel will also be on offer, alongside the usual range of force-fed gasoline and diesel units. As with the current Focus, its successor will offer an all-electric version, as well as high-performance ST and RS models.

Ford will continue to offer a sedan version in markets such as China and the United States. The all-new Focus is expected to debut in early 2018.
