As the season approaches its end, everything is on the table
With only three more stages to go, the 2017 World Rally Championship reached its three-quarter mark. And, judging from the video below, what a truly spectacular season it's been!
M-Sport World Rally Team (325 points) is currently leading the Teams’ standings — 64 points ahead of the Hyundai Motorsport occupying the second place. Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT follows closely with 213 points while the Citroën Total Abu Dhabi WRT falls behind with 163 points.
M-Sport’s Sébastien Ogier tops the Drivers’ standings with 177 points so far, followed by Thierry Neuville (Hyundai Motorsport) who tries to close the 13 points gap until the end of this season. The podium is completed by yet another M-Sport driver, Ott Tänak.
Although the current standings render the M-Sport WRT as the favorite, there are still three important stages to go — Spain, Great Britain, and Australia. And the midseason summary clip below gives us the impression that nothing is excluded.
P.S.: Have you seen this awesome Porsche 911 driver rallying on an icy Monte Carlo stage?
