Is the Audi’s RS3 Sedan Coming to the US?

Rumor has it that the Audi RS3 Sedan might just debut on the US market.

As Car and Driver reports (thanks to a 'highly reliable source'), the future super-Audi – dubbed RS3 – will make its way to the States also, in 2017 as a 2018 model.

If you don't know what to be impressed of, here are some facts: the RS3 will be powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder, one that "shares virtually nothing with the current 2.5-liter" found in the RS3 Sportback or the previous TT RS.

Reportedly the new single-turbo unit will make its debut at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show in the new TT RS, with a power output "close to 400 horsepower" – that more than the class' champion Mercedes-AMG CLA45 4MATIC, who's turbocharged inline-four is rated at 375 hp.

The RS3 Sedan will be able to reach up to 174 mph (otherwise the top speed will be governed at 155 mph) and would be able to sprint from zero to 62 mph in just four seconds – thanks to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto 'box.

As expected, the Audi officials have nothing to declare at this point. Would you like this plan to materialize, dear American petrolheads?
