Lamborghini Added 150 New Jobs in 2015 For Urus Project

You’re probably aware that Lamborghini will unveil a third model line in 2018, the Urus performance crossover

To support the expansion plans the company has announced it will supplement its workforce, which now stands at 1,300 employees.

Lamborghini announced that more than 150 assembly line workers, technicians and highly qualified specialists were hired recently with open-ended contracts. Including these new recruits, the total of permanent employees hired over the past five years by Lamborghini has exceeded 600.

The growth trend is expected to continue this year, with Lamborghini announcing 30 new production line workers have joined the company since January thanks to the system introduced by the new supplementary company agreement. The sports car manufacturer said other new hire during the year will include technicians working in Quality, R&D, Purchasing, Industrial and Project Management divisions, as well as technical production staff.

"Lamborghini is experiencing strong, steady growth in sales and also in its workforce. We are getting ready for groundbreaking changes with the introduction of our third model in 2018, which points to stable, sustainable growth for our company. This is why our investments in human resources are more important than ever," said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The Urus' scheduled launch in 2018 will lead to Lamborghini doubling its production site in size as well as adding 500 further new staff. 180 of these contracts have already been finalized.
