2017 Nissan Leaf US Price Starts at $30,680

World’s best sold EV gears up for 2017

It's not only special editions Nissan has been cooking lately. The Japanese carmaker also released official pricing info for its electric hit, the Leaf.

For 2017, the Leaf range is split between three trim levels – S, SV, and SL, all of which use the 30 kWh battery pack with 100+ miles of max range.

The entry-level Nissan Leaf S is available for $30,680. Going up the pyramid will get you the Leaf SV for $34,200 and the Leaf SL for $36,790. Of course, you'll have to add up the $865 destination and handling fee.

Power credentials remain unchanged for the 2017 model year. The electric powertrain delivers 107 hp and 187 lb-ft of torque, but the SV and SL grades now offer the seven-inch NissanConnectSM infotainment system with navigation as standard.

100,000 Leaf models found an owner in the United States as of October 2016.
