2017 Ram 1500 Night Package Is an Invitation for a Trip on the Dark Side

The blacked-out features aim to give the 1500 more street credibility

Ram Truck's core model, the 1500 pickup, gets a new special edition version called Night Package for the 2017 model year.

The second factory-custom truck from Ram, following the Rebel, sports a more aggressive look thanks to a series of darkened exterior elements.

Based on the Sport model, the Night Package distinguishes itself from regular 1500 trucks thanks to blacked-out features including the 20-inch wheels, grille, and badging. At the rear, the model sports the "RAM" stamped tailgate with blacked-out lettering, taken from the Ram Rebel.

The darkened exterior details add to the Sport model's upgraded body kit, which includes body-color fascia, bumpers, mirrors, and door handles, as well as dual chrome exhaust tips.

The 2017 Ram 1500 Night Package also borrows the interior from the Sport model, adding heated cloth bucket seats with 10-way power adjustment, power-adjustable pedals and automatic temperature control with dual-zone climate control.

Customers can order the Night Package for Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab 1500 Sport models, in both long and short bed lengths configurations. The special edition is available for two- and four-wheel drive models with a choice of 305 hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or 395 hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engines.

The 2017 Ram 1500 Night is available in Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Flame Red and Granite Crystal Metallic. Production begins in early four quarter 2016, with pricing to be announced closer to the sales debut.
