Take Video Look at Some Pebble Beach Premieres

These are our picks, the cars we think were the highlights of the event

The second closest thing to actually being at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is watching videos shot on the spot by those who did make it there. This year, the venue was chockfull of impressive metal, from the W Motors Fenyr, or that huge lesson in how to make a tapered car, the Mercedes-Maybach 6.

Other notable mentions go out to the Lamborghini Centenario roadster, Ford’s new turbocharged GT supercar, the Koenigsegg Agera XS (basically an Agera R that’s been made legal for US roads) or the Bugatti Vision GT concept, the real life Gran Turismo game design study that previewed the production Chiron.

Cadillac also unveiled the Escala concept at Pebble Beach; it previews Cadillac’s future styling direction for interiors and exteriors. Designer Ken Okuyama also had some new metal to show, in the form of the very Ferrari-like Kode57, a car that looked eerily similar to the Ferrari Rosa concept.

Final highlight from the event is the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante; it may be a mouthful, but it’s as desperately pretty as it is rare (only 99 will be made).
