Reborn Top Gear Take Two Will Star Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid

Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan will stay too, along with his Royal Stigness

The first season of the reborn Top Gear ended on mixed feelings regarding its assortment of presenters. Now, for the second season, some shuffling and deletion of presenters has taken place, and the new cast stars Matt LeBlanc seconded by Chris Harris and Rory Reid.

Having LeBlanc as the lead was something fans of the series asked for after after the first few episodes of the last season. The other two presenters were mainly featured in Top Gear’s new auxiliary show, Extra Gear, where they proved quite popular, hence their promotion into the main show.

According to The Guardian, former lead presenter Chris Evans voluntarily stepped down as lead presenter after not managing to win over the masses of fans. Evans was quoted as saying “for me, [LeBlanc] is the man. He is the captain Top Gear truly needs going forward, the perfect torso for the rest of TG’s limbs. Not only does he eat, sleep, breathe and dream engines, propshafts and trail-braking, but the overwhelming quality that struck me about him is that he’s just such a pro.”

The new series will debut sometime in 2017.
