Meet “Stubby Bob”, a stupidly awesome project signed by Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger in Motor Trend’s YouTube series ‘Roadkill’. Stubby Bob is a now wheelie-ready truck with a backward-mounted big-block V8 delivering some hefty horsepower figures – it is said the 454 Chevy block developed up to 900 hp in its glory days (and with some proper supercharging).
For the Stubby Bob to become … well, stubby its creators reduced its wheelbase to a mere 102 inches, scrupulously cutting the 1950 Ford F6’s chassis. All for one mighty purpose: to wheelie.
With this terribly unsafe weight distribution, a helmet and some strategically placed bubble wrap, they climbed aboard the most outrageous 60-years-old truck the Internet has seen.
