All the essentials on the 2019 C-HR
Toyota has announced a list of changes for the 2019 CH-R, so here’e everything you want to know about the crossover.
For starters, Toyota is mixing things up a bit as far as trim levels are concerned. For example, the C-HR 2019MY can be had in three flavors – LE, XLE and Limited. This means the 2018MY XLE Premium grade is gone.
C-HR LE offers 17-inch steel wheels, LED DRLs and halogen headlights, while C-HR XLE ups the ante with the likes of Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, folding side mirrors, Smart Key, and Entune 3.0 Audio Plus.
The range-topping Limited model packs rain sensing wipers, heated front seats, driver lumbar support, chrome windows detailing and leather-trimmed seats.
For 2019, Radiant Green Mica has been removed from the body paint offer, but clients can choose two optional hues, namely Ruby Flare Pearl and Blizzard Pearl.
Every 2019 Toyota C-HR is fitted with a 2-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine (with Variable Valve Technology) making 144 hp @ 6,100 rpm and 139 lb-ft of twist @ 3,900 rpm. Power goes to the front wheels via a CVT.
Fuel economy figures are estimated by EPA at 27 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 29 mpg combined.
Safety-wise, the 2019 C-HR offers Toyota’s Safety Sense P bundle, which includes the likes of Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Alert, and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
In the US, the 2019 C-HR starts at $20,995 (LE), $23,030 (XLE), and $26,050 (Limited). The $1,905 delivery fee is not included.
