BMW Pokes Tesla, Gives the 3 Series 330e an Edge Over Model 3 in New Ads

Don Draper would be proud

Alright, here's a 'No shit, Sherlock!' moment: advertising is a jungle. But Tesla knew that, so they weren't in need of a reminder. Yet, it still came, dressed as the #WaitOrDrive campaign from BMW.

We've seen marketing rants between Chevrolet and Ford, but also laudatory words between Porsche and BMW. It's a common practice in a world addicted to social media, but BMW's latest pair of ads is aimed at one of Tesla's main frailties, as experienced by clients: drawn-out waiting times for the Model 3.

Obviously, we won't make a summary out of the two videos. However, we can't help but applaud BMW's cheekiness in promoting their 3 Series 330e hybrid.

After all, automotive media outlets have been pitting the Tesla Model 3 against the BMW 3 Series ever since Musk announced the affordable electric sedan, which is somewhat understandable since the two cars show similar size, price tags and, to some extent, dynamic inclination.

The two videos are in the gallery above, you know what to do next.
