Porsche Panamera Wagon Confirmed for Geneva Debut

Will mirror the look of the sport Turismo concept from a few years ago

We’re finally going to see the production version of the much anticipated estate version of the Porsche Panamera, possiby called Sport Turismo, whose motor show debut date has been confirmed. CAR magazine sat down with Stefan Utsch, director of sales and marketing for the Panamera, who confirmed the car will be shown at the Geneva motor show this year.

The model, while larger in the back, with more space to carry cargo, will stick to the strict four-seater layout and will not offer a long-wheelbase variant based on it. It will primarily look to entice European buyers, according to the official, with the regular body style being hugely popular in China.

Utsch did say, though, that in the future the Panamera wagon may gain an actual bench seat in the back, thus boosting its passenger capacity to five.

Once it debuts at the Gevena motor show, it will take the better part of a year for it to reach showrooms; expect that to happen in early 2018.
