Putin’s Mercedes S600 Pullman Guard W140 Armored Limo for Sale

Got $1.3M? Now you can buy Putin’s old limousine

If your life dream was to ride like a dictator in a Mercedes S600 Pullman Guard, then you're in for a treat: the Russian President's limo is up for sale!

The W140 Mercedes S600 Pullman Guard is an armored stretched S-Class specially prepared for the Russian Presidency, part of a post-90s tradition of shuttling Russian heads of state in armored Mercedes-Benz limos.

The Mobile.de classified ad boasts that the limo served President Putin, but it's more likely that Boris Yeltsin ordered and used it in the 1990's until Putin came into power in 2000.

The 4.8-ton limo was powered by a 6.0-liter V12 developing 394 hp, and had B6-B7 levels of ballistic protection, being able to withstand high-powered and armor-piercing rifle attacks.

The W140 S600 Pullman limo was later replaced by a W220 Pullman and then by a W221 coached by Carat Duchatelet. Upon returning to the Presidency in 2012, Putin used a W221 Pullman but will switch to the newly-designed Kortezh, a Russian-made, Porsche-powered 800-hp armored limo that will enter service in 2017.

Until then, collectors will surely scramble to grab this rare Pullman that carried at least two Russian Presidents to their daily vodka parties routine.
