1970 Ford Boss 429 Mustang Plans to Molest Your Bank Account

Could sell for $400k

What Mustang enthusiasts call the Boss 9 is one of today's most sought after muscle cars. They're also as rare as a good hair day for Donald Trump, which makes them cost the earth.

As most of you must have guessed by now, we're talking about the Ford Boss 429, offered by Ford in the 1969-1970 interval in a very limited number: 1,358 units powered by a 7.0-liter (429 cu in) V8 with 375 hp and 450 lb-ft (610 Nm) of torque.

The stallion in point will be auctioned in January 2017 in Kissimmee, Florida, and should be one of the event's main attractions because of its rare orange and white inside/outside color combo.

Its engine block had to be changed after sustaining damage when the car only had 12,000 miles on the odometer, but the replacement came from another 1970 Boss 429.

Furthermore, the car retains intact rust-free body panels, original drivetrain components except for the NOS manifolds, according to its Mecum Auctions card.

There's a sad side, though: this Boss 429 is estimated to sell for anything between $350,000 and $400,000.
