2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE gains self-explanatory Extreme Track Performance pack

Already the most track-focused Camaro, the ZL1 1LE takes it up a notch

In case the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE is not hardcore enough for some people, Chevrolet offers a new Extreme Track Performance Package that's supposed to take the 1LE to new dynamic heights.

Priced at $7,500 the pack brings the price of the 2018 ZL1 1LE to $69,995, including the $995 destination freight charge. For the money, customers get racing-based suspension and aero technologies, as well as Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R summer-only tires.

Those add to the ZL1 1LE's highlights, which include a track-honed aero kit with a carbon fiber rear wing, racing-derived Multimatic DSSV (Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve) dampers, lightweight forged aluminum wheels, Brembo brakes, and weight-saving measures (thinner rear glass, fixed-back rear seat).

The ZL1 1LE is motivated by a 650-hp supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission featuring Active Rev Match. Customers also get standard features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, Bose premium audio system, heated/ventilated front seats, and heated steering wheel.

The 2018 Camaro lineup, including the ZL1 1LE, goes on sale this summer.
