Pennzoil Takes Us for Another Joyride With a BMW M6

Time to watch a 560 hp BMW Monster dealing with grip in a tundra

Pennzoil seems to know that marketing is not just about showing off your product, it's about how you put it in a suitable context. If one is found, it can make for an increasingly viral marketing action, which translates into success.

And the oil brand is all about being impressive. Dodge Challenger, Ferrari 458, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon were stars of the Joyride series – you can see all of them on Pennzoil's YouTube channel.

Now the time has come for the BMW M6 Coupe to be stressed in a not-very-friendly environment: a tundra. Everything was shit in the Canadian Rockies, where vast spaces and thick ice make the perfect set-up for never-ending slides.

The M6 Coupe features a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, here mated to a no-cost-optional six-speed manual gearbox – a rare sight for us, Europeans – good for 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. In optimal conditions, 0-to-60 mph happens in 4.0 seconds.

Ah, and don't forget the mesmerizing Jeep Rubicon joyride in the desert, this summer.
