The GLA compact SUV gets new infotainment features and user technology, as well as additional standard equipment
Among the new standard features there's an infotainment system that comes with a larger 7.0-inch display (5.8-inch before), as well as upgraded features including a media interface and pre-wiring for Garmin Map Pilot navigation. Also new is the HD Voice function for compatible mobile devices.
2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA's standard equipment also gains Keyless Start, dual-zone climate control and seat cushion length adjustment. Furthermore, Dynamic Select replaces Agility Select as a standard feature across the range, allowing the driver to choose from four performance modes: Comfort, Eco, Sport and Sport+.
Other changes for 2016 GLA models involve the option packages. Keyless-Go is now part of the Premium Package but remains available as a standalone option as well. The available Rear View Camera now provides 180-degree view functionality, while the power passenger seat is available as a standalone option.
Also new for 2016 is the addition of multi-color Ambient Lighting to the Interior Package – Ambient Lighting can be had as a standalone option, too. Furthermore, the optional Night Package, available in conjunction with the Sport Package, adds a custom look with gloss black exterior trim and black wheels.
Finally, 2016 GLA models get a new Kryptonite Green metallic color that replaces Universe Blue, while the available two-tone beige/black leather interior replaces gray leather in the cabin.
Engine choices remain the same: a 208 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the GLA 250 and a 375 hp 2.0-liter turbo in the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 performance variant.
