The design infusion costs $1,295
Ford is giving the Edge crossover more style with the new SEL Sport Appearance Package.
Unveiled at the Dallas Fort Worth Auto Show, the 2018 Ford Edge SEL Sport Appearance Package features sporty design upgrades for both the exterior and interior of the SUV.
From the outside, you'll recognize the pack thanks to a series of dark accents including the exclusive 19-inch Magnetic Metallic wheels, grille surround, mirror caps, skid plates, and rear spoiler. In addition, the kit brings blacked-out headlamp bezels and side window trim.
Step inside, and you'll notice a more lively color combination thanks to the use of Mayan Gray fabric seats with Umber-colored Miko suede cloth perforated inserts. The latter are said to stay cooler in warm temperatures and come at the request of customers from markets with more extreme weather conditions — yes, that would be Texas.
Other distinctive touches are the Copper Sands textured trim on the dash, embroidered Umber "Edge" floor mats, and the front seat head restraint backing finished in Umber-colored Miko suede cloth.
Based on the Edge SEL grade, the SEL Sport Appearance package is available with features such as SYNC 3 with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a premium audio system, rear camera and reverse sensing system.
Other available features include a panoramic roof, navigation, black roof rack side rails, blind spot monitoring system, and a hands-free power liftgate. Customers can order the SEL Sport Appearance Package for Edge models equipped with the standard twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost or optional 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine.
The 2018 Edge SEL Sport Appearance Package is priced from $1,295 and will be available to order this fall.
