Specialty Vehicle Engineering strikes again, this time upping power from 800 hp to 1000 hp for the 2018 YENKO/SC Stage II Camaro
Take a 6.2-liter LT-1 engine, transform it into a 6.8-liter (416 cubic inches) one, max its output to 1,000 hp and 875 lb.-ft of torque (1186 Nm), put it into a Camaro SS with the 1LE option and balance the entire thing in an incredible aerodynamic body: that's the 2018 YENKO/SC Stage II Camaro!
Aside from its raw power, the car also has lots of interesting features, like Magnetic Ride Control, Electronic Limited-Slip Differential, Performance-Tuned suspension with unique bushings, springs and stabilizer bars, a heavy-duty cooling system including engine oil cooler, dual outboard radiators, transmission cooler and a rear differential cooler.
The custom built engine features a blueprinted LT-1 aluminum block, computer balanced, race-quality rotating assembly, including forged 4340 steel crankshaft and H-beam steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, CNC ported LT-4 cylinder heads, a custom high-output supercharger, and an upgraded fuel system and injectors.
On the outside, the Yenko/SC has a functional 1LE front splitter that minimizes nose lift and a rear spoiler that adds enough downforce to keep the rear end firmly planted at high speed. It also comes with customized side stripes and hood graphics, along with a body color painted carbon fiber hood, Michelin PS4S performance tires and Yenko badged red calipers.
Inside, the 1LE also features Recaro Performance seats, with the YENKO name embroidered on floormats and headrest logos, and a YENKO crest power badge. There are ten factory paint color choices, and seven colors available for the sYc hood stripe and side graphics, so your YENKO could be quite unique. It's an exclusive edition limited to 25 examples, only available on the 2018 SS 1LE Camaro as a coupe and with a manual
transmission.
