That’s right, McLaren says the 570S Spider Design Editions were created to help customers with their customization decision.
Five of those are available to order for now with McLaren saying they’ve benefited the full attention of its designers as far as colors, materials and finishes are combined to form a seamless package.
It’s not the first time McLaren grants the Design Edition treatment to the 570S, but they’ve only done it with the Coupé up until now and with the Spider it’s pretty clear where the inspiration comes from.
Each 570S Design Edition revolves around a one of five special body hue: Silica White, Storm Grey, Vermillion Red, Onyx Black or Vega Blue. What you’ll see in the photo gallery here is the 570S Design Edition #4, which wears the Onyx Black body paint.
Its retractable roof retains the same color, the brake calipers are painted in McLaren Orange and the interior is a mix of carbon black Alcantara and Nappa leather (the perforated kind was used for the seats together with the compulsory contrasting stitching).
According to McLaren, Design Edition packs are priced at between £8,100 and £10,700, which adds up to the 570S Spider’s starting sticker of £164,750.
