Spectacular footage brings joy, horror to the R/C cars passionate
Life looks different when filmed at 1,000 frames per second. But how spectacular is an R/C crash at 100 mph? Well…
The Slow Mo Guys film all sorts of things in, you guessed, slow-motion. In fact, there's nothing slow about what they're doing, as you need a very fast camera to film at 1,000 fps things that crash at 100 mph. Things as a Traxxas XO-1 R/C car in the video below, for example.
What's amazing about this footage above is the fact that the car actually survives many of the ordeals the Slow Mo Guys put it through. Never mind about the flour crash. Or the flame-thrower assault.
Just think of the forces at work when two R/C cars crash one into another at 100 mph. They weigh 4.7 kilos each, and at that speed, and with a very small point of impact, the deceleration forces are huge. Looks like lots of fun, though!
