All-New 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé Reveals More Metal in New Video

We’ll see all of it on December 14

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé will not bring big surprises from a styling point of view, as spy shots have already shown.

But it's an all-new coupé from Stuttgart, and that's all that matters. Mercedes-Benz will show it for the first time on December 14, but until then this rather revealing video should be enough.

The two-door E-Class adopts a very similar design approach to the C-Class Coupé, which means we will have a hard time distinguishing them on the road. However, the E-Class Coupé should look sleeker thanks to the longer body and more stylish details like the thinner taillights and the two massive displays on the dashboard.

Based on the latest MRA rear-wheel-drive modular platform, the E-Class Coupé will be larger than its predecessor and will get the latest turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, including the upcoming generation of inline-six modular power plants with outputs of up to 400 hp.

For the first time, the E-Class Coupé is expected to get in the hands of Mercedes-AMG wizards as well, so expect E 63 Coupé and E 63 S Coupé iterations later on with outputs of up to 603 hp. Rumor has it the all-new E-Class Coupé will have its public debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show in January.
