BMW M240i M Performance Edition wears Bavaria’s best tuxedo, is smoking hot

BMW will build only 750 units

Carbon fiber, black details and the surprisingly lively Alpina White body paint are just some of the goodies carried by the BMW M240i M Performance Edition.

Yet there's no room for shallowness. Under the hood works an inline-six engine cranking out 340 hp aimed at the rear axle through either a six-speed manual or the eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.

You also get the option of ticking xDrive in the configurator, which will see the BMW M240i M Performance Edition sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds.

On the visible side, the package brings 19-inch alloys and a handful of aero bits and bobs – air guides, a splitter, diffuser and the carbon fiber bootlid spoiler.

Assembled at BMW's plant in Leipzig, the M240i M Performance Edition will spawn just 750 units available from July 2017.

Pricing info is yet to be disclosed.
